Cucumber is one of my favorite vegetables. It is good for my health and can lower my blood pressure. Every time I go to grocery store I will include cucumber in my basket. I love it and mix with the following ingredients:
2 medium cucumbers, thinly sliced
4 green onions, thinly sliced
3 small tomatoes, sliced
2 tablespoons snipped fresh parsley
Dressing:
1/4 cup sour cream
1/4 teaspoon prepared mustard
2 tablespoons minced fresh dill
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 tablespoon milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
Direction:
In a bowl, combine cucumbers, onions, tomatoes and parsley. Combine dressing ingredients; pour over cucumber mixture and toss gently. cover and chill for at least 1 hour.

Sipa or Sepak Takraw is known as Kick Volleyball in English is one of the popular sports in my country Philippines. When I was in the Philippines I am one of the coaches in our school. I trained the children on how to play sepak by using their feet, knee, chest and head to touch or kick the ball. In playing sipa you need a court. It is similar to badminton sized court. The area is around 13.4 x 6.1 m with the height of 8m measured from the floor surface. The width of the lines bounding the court should not be more than 0.04 m measured and drawn inwards from the edge of the court measurements. All the boundary lines should be drawn at least 3.0m away from all obstacles. The center line of 0.02 m should be drawn equally dividing the right and left court. At the corner of each at the center line, the quarter circle shall be drawn from the sideline to the center line with a radius of 0.9 m measured and drawn outwards from the edge of the 0.9 m radius. The service circle of 0.3 m radius shall be drawn on the left and on the right court, the center of which is 2.45 m from the back line of the court and 3.05 m from the sidelines, the 0.04 m line shall be measured and drawn outward from the edge of the 0.3 m radius. the net is similar to volleyball net made up of fine ordinary cord or nylon with 6mm to 8mm mesh, .7m in width and not shorter than 6.10m, taped at .0.05 m and the top shall be 1.52m for women height. The ball shall be spherical in shape, made of synthetic fiber or one woven layer.

When I was in the Philippines I can not slept with aircondition in my room. It’s really hot over there but when I live Canada it’s very different. It’s so cold during winter season. During my first experience of winter I couldn’t sleep also because of too much cold. I use thick clothes, winter coats, thick blankets to keep me warm. I just arrived from wings of paradise, the butterfly conservatory here in our place. My friend Elma and I went there and take pictures of the breathtaking views of the place. The place is awesome with different colors of flying butterflies and over 75 species of tropical plants. We arrived there at around one in the afternoon and we only stay there for 2 hours. The pictures are still on my camera I felt tired so I wasn’t able to upload the pictures yet. I feel hungry and cook our dinner. After eating I blog hopping and update my post here.

I received an email from my friend invited me to join kampong bayan 2009 summer camping that will be held on the weekend of July 24, 25 and 26 that is from Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The venue will be at Conestoga Lake Conservation Area, Wellington Country, North of Guelph, Ontario. It’s great but I don’t know if I am available on that day.
